Ayahuasca

AYAHUASCA

We organise Ayahuasca sessions once a month in our Casa Medicina. Ayahuasca is a natural medicine from the Amazon rainforest originally used in rituals of the indigenous traditions of Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Ecuador.

Name: Ayahuasca

Guide/person: Michela Leoni

When: Once a month

It is a concoction composed of two plants: a vine, Ayahuasca, and a shrub, Chacruna.

The interaction of these two plants, when ingested, produces a visionary effect of expansion of consciousness that allows us to enter a space of understanding of our life, our personal history, our relationship with ourselves and with others.

In this space, a creative introspective process is activated within which new solutions are configured and a dimension of a spiritual nature is opened, allowing an experience of deep connection with one’s own essence, with nature, with other living beings and finally with the Force that moves Life.

This experience is brought about by the presence of DMT, a molecule that is produced by the pineal gland in small quantities during the dream state and in greater quantities at birth and at the time of death.

There are many factors that can influence the decision to participate in an Ayahuasca ceremony, but there is one underlying all of them: the archaic quest to know oneself, to go beyond the character we have played until now, freeing ourselves from the expectations of others, from the rules imposed by the family, by education, by society.

Finally rediscovering your essence, because deep down you know that this is the beginning of the silent road to your happiness.

So, the right question is: what is stopping me from taking this path? The answer lies within you,
where Ayahuasca will guide you with love.

WHAT DO THE AYAHUASCA SESSIONS CONSIST OF?

The Ayahuasca session usually takes place at night, as it is done in the indigenous tribes, with the guidance of a shaman or an ayahuasquero who, in order to be able to share the medicine, must have travelled a long way with the medicine itself.

At Anam Medicine House the session usually starts at 21:00 hours (also depending on the season), with a talk in which we will have the opportunity to get to know each other, express our concerns and clarify any doubts.

Then the ceremony will begin, everyone will take their own cup of medicine and the process will last between three and five hours, although the time is really difficult to predict and can vary a lot from person to person.

At the end of the ceremony there will be a personal energetic cleansing and finally we will rest until morning.

When we wake up we will have the opportunity to do an integrated reflection of the process that took place during the night.

At Anam Medicine House the sessions have mainly a therapeutic purpose. Everything that comes to light during the intake and also in the following days or months, can and should be used within a healing process whose aim is to recover your own life, leaving harmful habits behind, both in the behavioural, emotional and physical fields, and finally entering into the holographic understanding of your own being.

The experience of taking Ayahuasca can certainly stand alone but, in its deepest sense, it is part of a process of discovery, acceptance and overcoming that rarely (if ever) comes from a single session.

We must understand that the journey undertaken with an Ayahuasca session can lead to levels of spiritual understanding that may require prolonged integration and intense personal work.

You can come to the session with a purpose: for example, the purpose to discover new paths to follow, to overcome past traumas, to have a mystical experience, etc.

Our advice is not to focus too much on “mental” requests that reduce in terms of possibilities the mastery of a wonderful Nature that knows the deep meaning of life.

Ayahuasca does not give you what you want but what you need.
